  • Michael Behmer MA, MFT, Founder, Therapist

    Michael is a Marriage & Family Therapist and founder of Aspen Mental Health Group, Inc. and Co-Founder of the Alethea Project. Michael has worked around the globe for more than 20 years specializing in supporting the recovery of trauma, grief and loss with individuals, couples, teams, and organizations. He consults and educates a range of mental health, corporate, government agencies, faith driven ministries, and organizations, offering leadership facilitation, executive trainings, crisis management and culturally relevant therapeutic coaching.

  • Danelle Rottner MA, LPC, Therapist, Clinical Director

    Danelle received her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. She is currently the Clinical Director and therapist for Aspen Christian Counseling. Danelle utilizes a holistic counseling approach to assist clients in achieving health and growth. Her areas of focus include fear and anxiety, adjustment and transition, depression, grief and loss, perinatal issues, abuse, family conflict, ministry burnout, and church leadership. Danelle also enjoys working with adolescents and young adults concerning identity, spirituality, and relational issues.

  • Joy Kirkland MA, Therapist

    Joy is Co-Founder of the Alethea Project. She has a Masters degree in Human Services Counseling, Joy studied Christian Counseling at Missio Seminary and has completed post graduate studies in cross-cultural trauma recovery. Joy brings more than 10 years experience serving individuals, couples, and adolescents in areas related to trauma, abuse, loss, life transition, personal and professional burnout, anxiety and depression. She brings a commitment to holistic counsel and a desire for each client to feel seen, heard, and empowered in various aspects of their wellbeing.

  • Nathan Pacheco MA, NCC, LPC, Therapist

    Nathan earned his Master's degree from Adam’s State University and is a Nationally Board Certified Counselor. He enjoys working with pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults. His areas of focus are transition, anxiety, academics, grief and loss, introversion, and divorce care. He approaches therapy holistically considering the clients nutrition, exercise, and overall wellness. With experience as a school counselor, he can assist clients with school success strategies, teacher-student communication, academic accommodations, and future planning.

  • Scott Lowe MA, MDIV, Counselor & Coach

    Scott is passionate about owners and leaders thriving in life as they lead their business or non-profit organizations. He has spent nearly 3 decades in the ministry sector and most recently serving 15 years planting a church and senior pastor in Fort Collins CO. He has also served on a number of non-profit boards and cofounded Restoration Now (non-profit that does local and global development and disaster response). In 2019, Scott transitioned from senior pastor to being a Real Estate broker and a leadership coach to business founders, owners, non-profit directors, pastors and pastoral teams. He and his wife of 25 years have a son in college and a daughter in high school. Scott loves the great outdoors, mountain biking, road biking, trail running, walks with his wife, games with his kids, and camping. He also loves to read and play guitar.

  • Sara Andrews, Counseling Intern and Certified Life Coach

    Sara is currently working on her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. She loves working with parents and teens to create positive relationships and help teens move into adulthood successfully. She also enjoys working with couples and families. Sara combines her life coaching experience with counseling skills to help her clients understand and improve their family relationships, gain emotional regulation and communication skills, and achieve personal growth. Sara also volunteers as a victim’s advocate and a restorative justice facilitator.
